Morgan Walbridge is a vibraphonist, composer, and educator based in Philadelphia, PA. Morgan is an active member of The Chronicles, Toussaint, the Philadelphia Mallet Ensemble, Norman David Ensemble Six Plus, LOVE Jazz Orchestra, the Ross Bellenoit Sextet, and the Gabriel Meyer Sextet.
Morgan released an original work for solo vibraphone, "Solitude," in May 2020, and has been credited on hundreds of recording projects, ranging from independent film scores, video game soundtracks, audio logos, and various albums from across the globe. Morgan has recorded alongside several artists including Billy Cobham, Roberto Tola, Muscle Tough, Jason LaPierre, Charles Berthoud, Norman David, Ross Bellenoit, and Connor O’Neill. Her freelance recording work was featured in a campaign with Fiverr in 2022.
Morgan began studying music at the age of 4 in her hometown of Rochester, NY, as a pianist and percussionist. She moved to Philadelphia, PA in 2016, to pursue a career in music at the University of the Arts. During this time, Morgan adopted the vibraphone as her primary instrument under the mentorship of Tony Miceli. In 2020, Morgan received a B.M. in Instrumental Performance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
Morgan is also an educator, offering private instruction in Mallet Percussion, Composition, and Music Theory. She was a featured clinician and performer as part of the 2024 Steve Weiss Music Mallet Festival. Morgan also offers services in music transcription.
